Rules
How It Works
- Every player tees off.
- The team elects the best drive, then everyone plays their second shot from within one club length of the elected ball, no nearer the hole.
- The balls can be placed.
- Players must not use the club length to escape rough, a penalty area (hazard) or a bunker (e.g. if the elected ball is in a bunker, then everyone must play from the bunker).
- Repeat for subsequent shots until the ball is holed (i.e. select the best shot every time).
- The same rules apply on the green, except balls must be placed within a putter-head length of the elected ball, no closer to the hole.
- Self-evidently (we hope), you will not be able to use the putter-head length just to drop the ball in the hole!
- Each player must contribute at least three (3) tee shots through the 18 holes.
- Each team records a GROSS score and hands the card back at close of play to the scorer, who will work out the NET score based on handicaps and number of players.
- Team prizes are awarded on NET scores.
- Additional prizes for birdies on the 18th hole and more.
- Also prizes for the worst shot of the day or best photo caption ‐ video or camera evidence preferred, alternatively it’s up to the best storyteller…
